New year, new home.

The new year is a great time to give your custom home a refresh. Paint is such a simple way to introduce new life into a space. It’s quick, cheap, and effective! It’s amazing how a fresh coat of paint can transform a space. But choosing what new color to use is always a challenge. Well, this year why not try one of these 2019 colors of the year!

Pantone: Living Coral

This color is inspired by the vibrant life beneath our oceans. Living Coral is a vibrant coral color, but the golden undertone softens it. This color is beautiful, and is bold and energizing, yet calming and soothing like the sea. This color would be beautiful in a bathroom or bedroom!

Benjamin Moore: Metropolitan

Inspired by the worn old stone on city buildings, this warm grey is the perfect neutral. Greiges, or the mix of grey and beige, are a rising trend in color. They work great with both warm and cool tones, making it easy to design around. This color is so soft and elegant; it would work great in any space from the bedroom to the living room.

Sherwin Williams: Cavern Clay

Cavern Clay got its inspiration from the earthy tones of Grand Canyon. This warm orangey clay paint is the perfect balance of a pop of color and toned down neutral. It evokes warm desert vibes and works great with pops of accent colors like bold blue. This is the perfect color to use if you feel your home needs some warmth!

Behr: Blueprint

Picking blue paints can be hard, but Behr’s Blueprint is one of my favorites. It’s a softer blue with grey undertones that have the perfect hint of moodiness. It would work great in offices or bedrooms. As the name implies, this color was inspired by the traditional blue color of home building blueprints!

PPG: Night Watch

Night Watch by PPG is the perfect dark mysterious green. It’s the perfect balance between a rich jewel tone and a calming nature-inspired tone. PPG describes his color as classic, natural, and luxurious as we agree! It would work great in more formal spaces like dining rooms or as a rich pop of color on the front door.
